Favicon

A favicon in Shopify serves as a small, iconic representation of your store that appears in the browser tab next to the page title. It helps with brand recognition by providing a visual cue that distinguishes your site from others, especially when users have multiple tabs open. Additionally, a favicon adds a professional touch to your website, enhancing the overall user experience by making your store easily identifiable at a glance.

Adjust favicon

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize. Click Theme settings and choose Favicon.

3. In the Favicon image area, click Select image, and then do one of the following:

   • To select an image that you have already uploaded to your Shopify admin, click the Library tab.
   • To select an image from your local computer, click the Library tab, and then click Upload.

4. Add alt text to your favicon image:

   • Click Edit.
   • In the Edit Image window, enter a brief description of the image.
   • Click Save.

💡 Tip: The ideal size for a favicon is 32x32 pixels. If your favicon file is too large, it will be reduced to 32x32 pixels when you upload it to Shopify.
